It’s a narrow window of opportunity, Road Trip Foodies, but if you love chili AND you’re traveling in northeastern Georgia on October 31, 2009, consider being in Hancock Park (just off Dahlonega Square) in Dahlonega, Georgia, for the annual Annual Chili Festival, held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (Tickets are $10; children under 10 are free — includes chili tasting, cornbread, drink, and dessert!) It benefits NOA: No One Alone (domestic violence prevention and services), and is sponsored by the Dahlonega Lumpkin County Chamber of Commerce.
