Sonoma County Grape Camp
Imagine yourself in the midst of a vineyard during fall crush, grape knife in hand, picking grapes on an autumn morning, the sun overhead, amber and purple hues as far as you can see, with the sweet fragrance of ripening grapes filling the air. If you long to see, feel, and enjoy the total wine experience from the vineyard to the bottle and (ah!) the tasting, consider attending Sonoma County Grape Camp. This “ultimate wine and food adventure” takes place September 21-23, 2009, based in the Vintners Inn.
Campers will harvest grapes, blend their own wine to take home, as well as learn about the wine
and food that make Sonoma County Wine Country famous. The camp also features “The Marriage of Food and Wine” seminar under the direction of Chef/Author John Ash, a dinner in the vineyards by Chef Mark Stark of Willi’s Wine Bar, and a paella party along the banks of the Russian River.
Sonoma Grape Camp is produced by the Sonoma County Winegrape Commission (SCWC) in association with Relish Culinary School. SCWC represents 1,800 vineyard owners producing grapes for Sonoma County premium wines.
