French Bistro Set to Open in Scottsdale
Opening this summer in Scottsdale, Arizona, is the Petite Maison. Headed by local favorite, Chef James Porter (formerly of Tapino Kitchen & Wine Bar), the French-themed country bistro promises good food at a lower price point.
A compact menu – matching the size of the restaurant that will only seat about 80 people – focuses on classic Gallic for lunch, dinner and brunch with highlights like beignets and chicory coffee.
Porter, said to be inspired by Le Bouchon, a Chicago bistro, is transforming a former adobe-style building at 7216 East Shoeman Lane (at the corner of Scottsdale Road) into a replica of a French country farmhouse.
He’s also planning a European-style marketplace in the parking lot on the weekends, offering fresh produce, meats and cheeses.
